The Floyd County Legacy Foundation (FCLF) has announced it will award a total of $553,380 in grants to 11 area nonprofit organizations committed to serving residents of Floyd County in Southern Indiana. The funding, distributed as part of the Foundation’s annual grant program, will support a wide range of community initiatives in New Albany, Floyds Knobs, Greenville, Georgetown, and Galena
.Launched in 2018, the grant program is now in its sixth year and continues to guide its funding priorities using the Priorities for Progress—Assets and Aspirations in Southern Indiana 2021 report, developed in partnership with the Community Foundation of Southern Indiana and Indiana University Southeast’s Applied Research and Education Center. This report helps identify the most urgent needs in the region and directs funding to initiatives that address those issues directly.
In February, the Foundation opened its 2025 grant cycle and invited eligible nonprofits to apply. The selected projects reflect the Foundation’s mission to strengthen local services and resources that benefit Floyd County residents of all ages.
