Clark County schools are prioritizing safety with new CPR/AED certification courses available for educators and administrators. Offered by Lira Safety Services, these courses are designed for first-time participants and those needing recertification. The training sessions will be held at the Mark Fetter Learning Center on East 10th Street in Jeffersonville.

This course does not include the First Aid component required for preschool staff and health assistants. The cost is $60 for first-time participants and will be held on September 10 and November 11 from 4:30pm – 7:30pm. The cost is $50 for those who need to recertify. It will be held on August 13, October 8, and December 10 from 4pm – 5pm.

For pre-school and non-nurse health service personnel needing First Aid and CPR/AED certification, customized classes can be arranged by school corporations or the health department based on demand. These courses typically run for approximately 5 hours, and costs $70.
