Baptist Health and Intuitive Health announces $40 million ER and urgent care facility in Sellersburg

Baptist Health and Intuitive Health, in partnership with Ivy Tech Community College Sellersburg, have announced plans to develop a state-of-the-art emergency room and urgent care facility on the Ivy Tech campus. The $40 million project is expected to break ground this spring, with completion targeted for 2026.

The new Baptist Health ER & Urgent Care Sellersburg will be the fourth such facility in the region, joining locations in Jeffersonville and Louisville. The facility aims to expand healthcare access for southern Indiana residents while also serving as a hands-on training site for Ivy Tech nursing and health sciences students.

Strategically positioned near Indiana Interstate 65, the Sellersburg facility will house a full-service emergency room, urgent care, and a large primary care clinic for Baptist Health Medical Group providers. It will also be the first in the Baptist Health system to offer outpatient imaging services, including CT scans and ultrasounds, further enhancing patient care.

This project also strengthens the partnership between Baptist Health and Ivy Tech, offering clinical training opportunities and paving the way for a new medical imaging program at the college.
