Owsley has seven years of classroom teaching experience, having served in a variety of roles including time at Clarksville Middle School, Corydon Elementary, and Heth-Washington Elementary, where she led the High Ability pull-out program. She also taught in specialized settings including high ability, English Language Learner, and special education classrooms. Mrs. Owsley has experience with substitute administration at Corydon Elementary School, where she gained valuable leadership experience supporting students, staff, and families.

Owsley’s journey to becoming an educator is deeply personal. “As a child of poverty and a first-generation high school graduate, I have a passion for helping kids achieve their dreams,” Owsley shared. “I believe in helping children reach their highest levels of achievement.”

As she steps into her new role at Vienna-Finley Elementary, Owsley is eager to connect with the school community. “I am looking forward to joining such an amazing community of people,” she said. “They are so passionate for kids. I look forward to seeing my own child grow within this community.”
