SCSD2 recognizes staff that helped with summer feeding program

The SCSD2 (Scott County School District 2) board recognized those who helped with the summer feeding program, during a recent meeting. Those that helped with the 51,919 meals, which included breakfast and lunch, at Vienna Elementary, Scottsburg Middle School, and the Scott County YMCA were: Shelley Rangel, Paige Shafer, Carolyn O'Brien, Mendy Brown, Katrina Franklin, Heather Cooper, Hailey Caplinger, Kayden James, Kim Perkinson, Linda Humes, and Olivia Wooten. There were also 2,583 meals sent to help SCSD1 with their summer feeding program.

Also during the meeting, it was noted that Scottsburg High School Principal Jeff Cox has reported the new cellphone policy is going well and that students are obeying. The new policy does not allow the use of cellphones in grades 9-12, during class. However, students may use them before and after school, during lunch and between classes.
