At a recent meeting of the Scott County School District 1 board, members voted to raise the pay for substitute teachers. Those with a substitute teacher certificate will earn $85 a day. Anyone holding a bachelor's degree will make $100 a day. If you are a licensed or retired teacher you will earn $110 a day. Cafeteria subs' pay will increase to $12.25 an hour.
David Deaton made a motion; with Kathy Morris seconding. The board unanimously voted in favor 4-0.
