Scott County Council approve CDL Training Fund

In a recent Scott County Council meeting, the board unanimously approved the creation of a CDL Training Fund, which will be managed by the Highway Department. This new initiative aims to establish a training program where department staff can provide training for individuals seeking a Commercial Driver's License (CDL). The program is expected to function similarly to existing training facilities within the county, such as those used for paramedics and EMTs.

The motion passed with a 6-0 vote. The fund will not only support CDL training but also serve as a source of revenue. These funds will later be appropriated for further use.
