New Bealls store to open in Salem

Salem, Ind. – Bealls, Inc. announces the opening of a new 14,100 sq. ft. Bealls store at 405 S. Main St. in the Salem Shopping Center. A weekend-long grand opening is targeted for October 9 - 11, 2026. An 8:30 a.m. ribbon cutting ceremony marks the celebration on Saturday, October 10, 2026.

Bealls is tapping local retail talent for 14 - 16 supervisory and associate positions in the store. The Salem location represents the 15th store in Indiana under Bealls Inc.

Bealls will feature an extensive selection of fashion apparel, footwear, and accessories for the family in special apparel sizes including women’s plus, petites, juniors’ plus, men’s big & tall and wide-width shoes. For the home decorator and designer, Bealls offers high-quality home merchandise, housewares, and gifts from around the world. New merchandise arrives daily, offering guests greater selection.

To mark the opening of all new Bealls stores, the company is planting a non-invasive, fruit bearing or medicinal, state native tree in the vicinity of the store entrance at each location. The tree planting initiative honors the land and environment where Bealls Inc. has chosen to establish community roots.
