NAPD warn residents of phone scam impersonating officers

In some cases, the calls may appear to come from an official NAPD phone number, but police emphasize that these calls are fraudulent.

The NAPD stated it will never contact individuals by phone to demand payment of any kind. Residents who receive such a call are urged to hang up immediately and not provide any personal or financial information.
