Early dismissal for 2024/25 school year approved by Salem School Board

The Salem School Board has approved early dismissal times for the 2024/25 school year. The change provides built-in PD time for teachers, as well as allowing the schools to be “more in line with the Prosser schedule”, stated Superintendent Jill Mires.

Bradie Shrum Elementary School will dismiss at 2:45 p.m.; with buses loading at 2:50 p.m. SMS will dismiss at 2:50 p.m.; with loading of the buses between 2:57-3:00 p.m. Students who walk or car-ride will wait until the buses have been loaded. SHS will dismiss at 3:00 p.m.; with loading of the buses from 3:01-3:05 p.m. Student drivers will be held until the buses are loaded.
