The Kickoff to the 19th Ride for a Cure launched this year’s fundraising season on April 26th with a disco-themed dance that drew several dozens of people eager to support the fight against cancer.
Held annually, the Kickoff is the first of several events organized to raise money for local individuals battling cancer. So far in 2025, four recipients have been selected to receive assistance: Lisa Hammons, Cindy Watts, MayLynn Ohanis, and Eric Lowry. More beneficiaries are expected to be added as funds continue to grow through upcoming events.
Organizers Steve and Missy Sadler, say the support from the community makes a meaningful difference for those facing one of life’s toughest battles. Keep an eye out for more events (softball game, roadblocks, car show, motorcycle ride and more) throughout the year as Ride for a Cure continues its mission of hope and healing.
