The community is coming together to support one of its own. A benefit for Dr. Brett Usher of Eagle Chiropractic will be held Saturday, May 31, from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Scooter’s Family BBQ patio, located at 55 W. Main St. in Austin.
Dr. Usher, a longtime supporter of the Austin area, is currently facing serious health challenges. Friends, family, and neighbors are organizing the fundraiser to help ease the financial burden during this difficult time.
The event will feature a cornhole tournament, live music, a kid zone, BBQ platters, door prizes, and a silent auction. Cornhole registration begins at 11 a.m., with bags flying at noon. The tournament winner will split the pot.
“This is a family-friendly event, and all proceeds will go to Dr. Usher,” said organizers. Donations for the silent auction or door prizes may be dropped off at Scooter’s Family BBQ.
