On Saturday, March 7, from 4 to 7 p.m , the Jeffersonville community will gather at St. Luke’s United Church of Christ (329 Walnut Street Jeffersonville) for the annual Tara’s Garden fundraiser, an event dedicated to celebrating the immortal legacy of Tara Rose Willenborg.
Tara was known for her energetic and loving spirit, her deep passion for animals, and her unmatched determination. Just weeks before her passing, she proudly earned her GED at the age of 17 — a milestone that reflected her perseverance and dedication to her future. Though her life was tragically cut short, her family and community continue to honor her by turning grief & remembrance into meaningful action.
Each year, Tara’s Garden unites the community to support three organizations that reflect the causes Tara cared deeply about:
--Southern Indiana Animal Rescue
--River Valley Resources – Adult Education
--St. Luke’s United Church of Christ
The event is open to the public of all backgrounds and ages, and will feature live music by Shannon Vetter, catering by local food truck owner Morgan Beatty, playtime with adoptable dogs from SoIn Animal Rescue, and a diverse and exciting silent auction.
Community members, along with their families and friends, are invited to attend, donate silent auction items, or contribute online if they cannot attend in person.
